Disabling Auto Update During Publishing
In a CAD authoring tool such as CATIA V5, you are required to update your part, assemblies or drawing. The update option ensures that the CAD application saves your changes or edit. You can update your part in native CATIA application in two modes:
Automatic Update: Automatically updates the Part
Manual Update: Click the Update icon to update Part
The default update mode is Automatic. However, sometimes the automatic updates may cause issues. For example, when you are working on editing a model in CATIA, the automatic update will ask you to reconsider your design before updating the changes in the workspace.
In Windchill Workgroup Manager, you may face issues during the publishing. The viewable represents updated documents (Parts/assemblies). If the viewable is not updated by the user before initiating the save action, then CATIA’s auto update may impact the viewable. When CATIA initiates automatic update when you publish your changes, the viewable of such documents are not updated.
To resolve this issue, PTC recommends that you disable automatic updates on your worker machine.
To disable automatic updates in WWGM:
Change the autoupdate.model.upon.filesync.publishing preference to No in the wgmclient.ini file
Disable automatic updates in the native CATIA V5 settings for Part Infrastructure and Assembly Design

Disabling Download Dependency
To disable download dependency set the update.drawing.views.on.publish option to No. When publishing a CATIA drawing, Windchill Workgroup Manager downloads the drawing without its dependency and no drawing view update happens when generating drawing viewable
