The following classification in the table describes the requirements for modifying attributes for Family Table objects in CATIA V5:

Generic-driven
|
An attribute (parameter) that is designated in the generic model but not added as a column to the Family Table. A Windchill attribute that is set as generic in CATIA V5 is reflected as generic only and is not listed for the instances in Windchill.

Independent Table-driven
|
An attribute (parameter) that was added to the Family Table and has a unique value that was assigned using the Family Table editor. The Windchill attribute that is set for instances in the design table as a column name is reflected for the instances in Windchill.
