Reverting BOM Redline
The revert action restores a modified, replaced, or removed part usage link based on the branch point in the redline structure browser. If you have made any changes to the redline, you can reset it to the original by using the revert action. Access Revert from the redline structure tree or from the Uses table using the right-click action menu.
If there are no changes made to the part, then the action is disabled. This action is enabled when the redline is in an editable mode and when there are part usage changes. The Revert action removes the changes. However, this action does not revert the part attribute changes. Therefore, if there are part attribute changes, you can view the visual highlights for the child part even after the Revert action. When you use the Revert action, the parent part is checked out. You can perform all redline actions such as insert, remove, replace, and modify on the reverted part.
When you revert the child part that has its own redline, the part usage along with occurrences and the substitutes are restored to the original.
To revert the modified, replaced, or removed part usage link, follow these steps:
1. Select the part from the redline structure tree or from the usage table.
2. Right-click and select the Revert action. The parent part is checked out.
All validations must pass for the part usage to be reverted.
3. Check in to save the changes.
