Finding Defects to Associate with a Software Build
From the Search window, use the actions in the following table to find defects from Integrity Defects that you want to associate with a software build:
Field Name
Description
Keyword
A search attribute for the remote defect. Use asterisks (*) as wildcard characters to indicate that one or more characters can appear in the search string for the defect.
Repository
Displays a drop-down menu of adapter names corresponding to the external defect-tracking system that your administrator has configured.
Product
Select a product against which the defect is reported.
State
Indicates where the defect currently is in its life cycle. The values in the State drop-down menu change depending on:
the DTS adapter that you have selected
and,
the attribute value map that is configured by your administrator
Click Search to view the defects corresponding to the values specified in the fields in the Defects Table. The defects are listed under the following columns:
Column Name
Description
Remote ID
A label assigned to the defect by the third-party defect tracking system. It can be any alphanumeric value.
Associated Defect
Displays the Identification (ID) of a Windchill defect.
Name
A brief summary of the remote defect as it appears in the remote defect-tracking system.
State
The state of the defect. The values in this column vary depending on the adapter that you have selected in the Repository field.
Priority
The relative importance of the defect in comparison to other defects.
Scheduling
The schedule of the priorities to fix the defect. Priorities set the rank or the position of the defect.
Assignee
The person to whom the defect is assigned.
Project
The parent project to which the defect belongs.
Perform the following steps to select and associate defects with a software build:
1. Select one or more check boxes against the defects in the Defects Table and click OK. The Search window closes and the selected defects appear in the Defects Table on the Associate Defects To Build Object window.
2. Again, select the check boxes against the defects that you want to associate with the software build and click OK. The defects appear in the Associated Defects table.
