Selecting a Date Effectivity Configuration Specification
A
Date Effectivity configuration specification filter selects part versions based upon an effectivity date, or date and time, that is assigned to a new part version at the completion of a change management process. For more information, see
About Effectivity.

Edit Filter icon in the
Structure tab toolbar. The
Edit Filter window is displayed.

A date effectivity without the selection of a context part is described as “global.” The effectivity date applies in all contexts. A date effectivity in the context of an assembly part is only applicable when the part is used in the context assembly. When selecting a part to use as the date effectivity context, enter the name or number of the part in the Effectivity Context field, or click the advanced search icon to search for a context part. |
Effectivity Date | Enter an effectivity date or click the calendar icon to select a date to filter by. | Your Windchill administrator may have set a system preference to allow setting both effectivity date and time. With this setting turned on you will see a drop-down menu where you can also select an effectivity time to the nearest half hour. Enter the effectivity date and time for your time zone. Effectivity dates and times viewed in other time zones are translated to the equivalent date and time in that time zone. |
