Using the Visualization Panel
You can find the Visualization Panel at the following locations in MPMLink:
Upstream view and downstream view of a BOM Transformer
Process Plan Browser (PPB) and 3D Tree Picker of PPB
Manufacturing Resource Browser (MRB) and 3D Tree Picker of MRB
Manufacturing Standard Browser (MSB) and 3D Tree Picker of MSB
Actions such as Set Spin Center, Orientation are available in the Visualization Panel of the browsers mentioned above. However, certain actions are available for specific browsers.

Selection Preferences
Determines whether or not selecting the image of an object expands the object structure and highlights the object in the structure pane, and whether or not selecting an object in the structure pane highlights the same object in the Visualization panel.

In a multibody structure, if you click the body node in the Visualization tab, then the parent part of the selected body is highlighted in the structure.

Path Filter
Path Filter allows you to filter a structure, so that only a select set of structure paths is displayed and the paths that are not included in the filter are excluded from the structure. The following actions are available in this list:
Apply Path Filter: Applies a new path filter using paths to the parts selected in the part structure tree. Any currently applied path filter is removed when the new path filter is applied.
Edit Path Filter: Opens the Edit Path Filter window providing the ability to modify the currently applied path filter with the following actions:
Enable: Enables the selected path in the path filter, so that it is actively used to filter the structure.
Disable: Disables the selected path in the path filter, so that it remains in the path filter but is not actively used to filter the structure.
Remove: Removes the selected paths from the path filter.
Reset: Resets the path filter to its initial state when the Edit Path Filter dialog box was initially opened.
Add to Applied Path Filter: Adds the selected path to the path filter that is currently applied to the structure. The selected nodes are added to the path filter and the structure is updated. This action is available only when a path filter is currently applied.
Disable Path Filter: Disables all paths in the currently applied path filter, so that none of the paths are actively used to filter the part structure.

Selection Assistance
In larger assemblies use this action to quickly navigate to related and parent parts. The following options are available:
Select Parent: Use to quickly select the parent part for which the selected part is assembled under.
Select First Level Assembly: In assemblies with multiple sub-assemblies use this action to navigate to the main assembly, or the first level assembly.
Select Allocatable Parts: For a given assembly, this action is used to select the only allocatable part for that assembly. This action can be used for multiple sub-assemblies as well in situations where the system selects the respective allocatable parts for those sub-assemblies.
Custom Selection: Use to select parts in the tree structure as per the criteria set in the com.ptc.windchill.associativity.upstreamCustomVizSelectionObjectTypes and com.ptc.windchill.associativity.downstreamCustomVizSelectionObjectTypes properties. For more information, click .About Custom Selection Action in Visualization Tab of BOM Transformer

3D Tree Picker of PPB. The Custom Selection action is not available in PPB.
Split Usage
Opens the Usage Splitting. Splitting allows you to distribute multiple occurrences of a part to multiple operations.
For the selected occurrences in the tree picker visualization panel, this action creates a new usage link (in the tree structure) with the selected quantity, and decreases existing quantities on the original usage link by the quantity selected. This action is available for multi-select or single select of occurrence paths.

When splitting the usage of a part using the Tree Picker the part is automatically checked out.

Set Section Cut
Use the actions in the Section Cut list to view a cutout of a model along a particular direction. It allows you to view internal components of the model without the need to alter any geometry. For more information, click .About Section Cut in MPMLink

Viewing Consumption Status
The status of parts that have been consumed in either the upstream or downstream BOM can be viewed by configuring the Display Options in the Visualization tab. The following options are available:
Hidden: Removes from the display parts that have been consumed in the equivalent BOM.
As Phantom Parts: Parts that have been consumed in the equivalent BOM are displayed as phantom parts.
In Transparency: Visually changes the appearance of parts that have been consumed, using the defined transparency settings.
Set Transparency Level for Immediate Part Allocations: Defines the visual appearance of the parts that have been consumed. The lower the transparency level the darker these parts appear.
Automatically Zoom to All Parts in the Selected Operation: Highlights and displays the parts that are used during the selected operation.
To update a downstream BOM with information that has changed in the upstream BOM select the Update Status of Consumed Parts check box. Note that this action could take a significant amount of time.
