The default centricity can be changed using the Dependency Processing Type drop-down list. The drop-down list is only available if your site administrator has set the site-level > > preference to Yes.
If you change the initially selected objects after creating your managed collection and add a different object type than was included previously, a message will appear asking if you want to change the collection options to reflect the appropriate centricity. If you do change the collection options to reflect the appropriate centricity, all filters or other collection options you had previously selected will be reverted to their default values and should be reapplied as needed.

• Include all: Include all available object types.
• Include only selected: Click the Find button to open the Find Type window. From this window, select only the object types that you want to include in your collection. Click OK, and the object types you selected appear in the table. Only these object types are then included in your contents.

Organization ID Filter
Limits the collected objects based on the organization that owns the object. There are three options for managing organization identifiers:
• Include all: Include all available organization identifiers.
• Include only selected: Click the Find button to search for organization identifiers to include in your collection. Only objects owned by the selected organizations are included in your contents.

Security Label Filter
Limits the collected objects based on the security label values applied to each object. Select Include all to include all objects regardless of any applied security label. Select Include only selected to specify the security label values to include in the collection. For custom security labels, you can select All values to include objects with any value of the custom security label applied, or you can select No value to remove any objects with any value of that custom security label applied.

Black Box Filter
Limits the collected objects based on their relationship to an object in the part structure. For example, if Part A has two subparts, Part B and Part C, and Part A is set as the black box part, only Part A is collected and not its subparts. If collection rules are defined so related objects should be included, all objects related to Part A, such as related documents or change objects, are included. Use the Find button to search for parts to add as black box parts.
There must be at least one object in the table for you to configure collection options.
Applying a configuration specification to the top-level object also applies the same configuration specification to all initially selected objects. |
Be sure to select the Apply to initially selected objects and the Apply latest for unresolved dependents checkboxes on the Configuration Specification filter tab. |
