Context Template Information Page
A context template provides the structure, access policies, roles, teams, and other context infrastructure items for creating a context, such as a product, project, program, library, or organization. The information page of a context template is accessed by clicking the information icon
or selecting
View Information from the right-click actions menu from the
Templates table when the table view is set to one of the context templates.
| Only site and organization administrators can view product, project, program, or library template information pages. Only site administrators can view organization template information pages. |
From the information page, you can perform actions on a context template, as well as view the context template's attributes and any related information.
For an overview of information page functionality, see
About Information Pages and
Customizing Your Information Page Tabs.
Actions
Information pages contain a list of applicable actions in a menu in the upper left corner of the page. See
Actions Common Among Objects for a list of common actions available in Windchill. The availability of these actions depends on the status of the context template, as well as your access to it. For more information about status indicators, see
Status Indicators.
The actions available on a context template information page are a subset of the actions available for the object on the
Templates.
The Delete Non-latest Iterations action is only available from the Actions menu when there are multiple iterations of a context template. If there are multiple iterations of a context template, the Iteration History table will display each available iteration. To delete the latest iteration, use Delete from the Actions menu or from the right-click menu on the latest iteration in the Iteration History table. The right-click Delete action in the Iteration History table is only available on the latest iteration. A context template cannot be deleted if an existing context has been created based on the template. Templates can be disabled to prevent additional contexts from being created with the template.
