Export from Workspace
The Export from Workspace command allows you to export CAD documents from your active Workspace to a directory on the local file system. You can use the collection and configuration tools to incrementally add or remove objects to or from a table listing of objects, before exporting.
To export from a workspace:
1. In the Windchill Workgroup Manager client, select the CAD document and click ToolsExport from Workspace.
The Export CAD Documents window opens.
2. In the Target Directory box, specify the target directory for the export.
3. Select the Reuse content in target directory check box if you want to avoid overwriting files of the same name in the target directory.
4. If you export CAD documents from your active Workspace, the Current Settings box shows the configuration specification related to the Workspace.
a. In the Dependencies section, select a value from the following in the Dependents box:
All
Required (default)
None
b. In the Collect Related Business Objects section, select a value from the following in the Drawings box:
All
Initially Selected Only
None (default)
c. Select the Secondary Content check box to export the secondary content with the CAD documents.

By default, the basic export options are displayed. The initially selected object for export and the objects that are collected according to the specification on the Basic page are displayed in the Collect Objects tables. For advanced export options, click the Advanced tab and specify the values. The following table shows the control icons on the Advanced page. If you move from the Advanced page to the Basic page, you may lose the additional objects that are collected on the Advanced page.

5. Click OK to complete the operation. The objects are exported to the target directory.

With auditing enabled in Windchill , when objects are exported from the workspace, an audit event is logged in the Security Audit Report to enhance corporate export security control.
