In some cases, updating objects in the workspace may fail if this action can cause the generic to become incompatible. For example, Update fails if the latest iteration of the Family Table has different configurations, such as when the Family Table was iterated after the addition of a new instance or the deletion of an existing checked-in instance from the Configuration Manager, or after an existing configuration was renamed either from the Configuration Manager or from the Design Table.
