This topic describes the Revise action available only from the File menu in Windchill. It is not accessible from the Creo CADDS 5 authoring application.

Selecting File > New > Revise in Windchill opens the Revise page and enables you to create a new revision for an object. To accomplish this, you assign the next revision level available in a defined revision scheme. The revision scheme represents a sequence of characters identifying subsequent versions of an object. Creating a new revision of an object results in the object, as well as all objects you choose to associate with it, advancing to the next set revision level.
