Splitting Usage Links in Tree Picker of Process Plan Browser
In the Process Plan Browser, you can split quantities or occurrences associated to the usage link of a selected part and transfer them to a duplicate usage link created on the same part. TheSplit Usage Link action can be performed while in the occurrence display mode or the usage display mode. Before using Split Usage Link, relate a part to a process plan. After splitting usages, you can allocate them to separate operations in a process plan.
To split usage links or occurrences in the Tree Picker of the Process Plan Browser, follow the steps below:
1. Click Open Related Part. The Tree Picker window opens.

In the Tree Picker toolbar, click  if you want to split occurrences. |
2. Select a part, and note the following:
If the Unit attribute of the selected part is each, then the value for Quantity for the selected part should be more than 1.
3. In the Tree Picker toolbar, click 
Split Usage Link. The Split Usage Link dialog box opens and contains the usage quantity for the selected part.
Split Usage Link. The Split Usage Link dialog box opens and contains the usage quantity for the selected part.4. Enter the quantity that you want to split off and transfer to the new usage link.
5. Click OK. The selected occurrences are removed from their original usage link and transferred or associated to a duplicate usage link on the same part. The new usages that are created remain selected in the tree.
