Rename
The Rename command allows you to rename a CAD document in the Windchill Workspace by changing the values of the Name, Number, and File Name attributes. You can also rename objects that are in other users’ Workspaces; for such changes, a system notification is sent to the users when they synchronize their Workspaces with the Windchill server.

• To rename an object, you must have Modify Identity Access Permission.
• Only the objects which have not been checked in can be renamed in the Workspace. To rename a checked in object, you must use the command in the Commonspace.
• When renaming an object, the following characters are not permitted in the file name: `, *, |, \, /, “, :, ?, < and > . European letters with accents, umlauts, and trémas are also not supported. For more information, refer to Policy-Managed Naming and Numbering
