Creo Packages
Install the Creo Packages server component on the Windchill server to share of Creo designs and libraries with your design partners and suppliers who use Creo along with Windchill PDMLink, or Windchill PDMLink with ProjectLink.
Remember the following points when installing the Creo Packages server:
• Creo Packages server is only installed on a Windchill server.
• Creo Packages server is generally installed in conjunction with either the Creo Packages client
• Creo Packages server can be installed in conjunction with the Creo Packages client.
• Check the Windchill Software Matrix posted on the PTC support site for details about the supported Java versions.
Installation
Creo Packages server software is installed using the PTC Solution Installer (PSI). During the PSI installation, under Optional Products, select Creo Packages.
After you have completed the PSI installation, to view the Creo Packages server log files, go to <WT_HOME>/installer/logs folder to determine if the installation was successful:
• If the installation was successful, the Installation Complete window displays the location where Creo Packages server is installed.
The log files for the installation are named:
◦ WPCSERVER_PtcInstall.log
◦ WPCSERVER_InstallLog.xml
• If the installation fails, error messages and the name of the log files appear. The log files can be helpful in determining the cause of the failure. The installation error log files are located in the <WT_HOME>/installer/logs folder.
