Windchill Replication Package Command Line Utility
As a user or administrator replicating product or library data to another internal Windchill installation on a scheduled basis, you may want to automate some or all of the export and import process. You can continue to work with replication packages and their associated deliveries from the Packages page in a product or library context on the sending side. On the receiving side, you can continue to work with the delivery files using the Received Delivery Management utility during any part of the process. You can also use the commands of the Windchill Replication Package command line utility to automate portions of the export and import process for a replication package.
On the sending side, you can do the following from the Windchill Replication Package ZIP Delivery command line utility:
Iterate or revise and lock a replication package
Create the package ZIP file on the delivery for the new iteration of, new revision of, or existing version of a replication package delivery
Make the replication package ZIP files available on the file system
A PLM Connector Server License is required by the command line utility for the sending side. Before using the command line utility on the source system, your Windchill server must be configured with the PLM Connector Server Importable Package property for this license. For more information, see PLM Connector Server Importable Package License Property.
On the receiving side, you can do the following from the Windchill Replication Package Import command line utility:
Upload received delivery files from the file system to received deliveries in Windchill
Import the received delivery with the same options as are available through the Received Delivery Management utility
For more information about the commands to use for the sending side, see Running the Windchill Replication Package ZIP Delivery Command Line Utility. For more information about the commands to use for the receiving side, see Running the Windchill Replication Package Import Command Line Utility.
