Types of Conflict Messages
Conflicts can be object-level or definition-level:
Object-level conflicts—A conflict specific to an object is called an object-level conflict. For example, in an assembly with multiple parts, if the file name for a part in this assembly already exists in the target PLM system, import for the part fails due to an object-level conflict.
Definition-level conflicts—A definition-level conflict is specific to a group of objects and prevents objects from being imported. For example, if a folder does not exist during import, then the import for every object being imported into this folder fails due to a definition-level conflict. However, a single conflict message is displayed that applies to all objects.
