Install the Toolkit

The Windchill Workgroup Manager Toolkit client is on the Windchill Workgroup Manager CD-ROM in the/wwgmtk directory. It is automatically deployed in the Windchill Workgroup Manager/wwgmtk directory after the Windchill Workgroup Manager client is successfully installed on a local computer.

1. To deploy the toolkit, extract the ZIP file in the /wwgmtk directory to a directory on the same machine where the Windchill Workgroup Manager client is installed. For example, create a directory called Toolkit in the c:/program files/ptc/wgm directory.

When you set up the development environment, this directory location is used for linking user environment variables and makefiles.

Once extracted to the directory, the following directories and files appear under the root folder. The root folder includes the version.txt file containing the version number of the toolkit installed on your local computer.

Directory	Description
doc	Contains API sample applications.
examples	Contains programs that demonstrate Windchill Workgroup Manager Toolkit capabilities and usage semantics.
lib	Contain libraries used for linking a Windchill Workgroup Manager Toolkit DLL on your operating system.
settings	Contains utilities and files that assist in setting up the environment for building and running a Windchill Workgroup Manager Toolkit application.
src	Contains C++ headers with declarations of toolkit entities.
