Translation Content Table
The Translation Content table allows you to view the translations related to the source object. By default, the table does not display any data until results are requested. The Translation Content provides information for information structures, publication structures, and dynamic documents.
When a Creo/Illustrate source Illustration file (.c3di) is referenced by an information structure, publication structure, or dynamic document, it is the XLIFF document that contains the translatable strings for the .c3di that gets included in translation packages. Therefore, the XLIFF document will appear in the table rather than the source Illustration file (.c3di) itself.
The following options are available for the Translation Content table. Select the criteria and click the Results button:
All Content Types — Select from the list of available types of document or leave the default to return all types of content.
All Source Languages — Select from the list of available source languages or leave the default to return all available languages.
For service structures, the source language is derived from the Authoring Language but must also be configured in the Language Pairs preference.
For dynamic documents, the PTC_DD_LANGUAGE attribute value of the content is used for the Source Languages list.
All Target Languages — Select from the list of available target languages or leave the default to return all available languages.
For both service structures and dynamic documents, the Target Languages list displays the target languages from the Language Pairs preference values set for the product or library.
All Translation Status — Select from the list of available translation status options:
In Translation — The translation package has been exported, but has not yet been imported.
Not Requested — The translation package has not been requested.
Translated — The translation process is complete and all translation packages have been imported.
Requested — The translation package has been requested, but is being held in queue until all translation documents have been approved.
Not Requested-New translation needed — The translation process is complete but the source document was iterated after the translation process.
Translated-Not In Dictionary — The translation process is complete, but the translated content has not yet been added to the dictionary. This status is applicable only for XLIFF documents generated from Windchill Service Information Manager structures or parts lists.
Translated-Not In Viewable — The translation process is complete, but the translated strings have yet to be published to the PVZ Viewable. This status is applicable only for XLIFF documents generated from Creo Illustrate (C3DI) files.
Apply Filter to Translations — Use this checkbox to apply filter criteria that is set in the service structures to translation documents. This is useful if you have included translation documents in a baseline and want to use the specific versions of the translations that are in the baseline. The selection of the checkbox applies only to the current structure and is valid for the given session. The default setting of the checkbox is controlled by the com.ptc.tml.applyFilterForTranslations property in the wt.properties file. The property is set to true by default, that is, filtering criteria is applied to translation documents. The value specified for this property applies to the checkbox settings on both Translation Content and Translation Dashboard tables.
The following columns may be available for the Translation Content Results table:

Source Name
States the name of the source document to be translated.
Source Version
States the version of the source document to be translated.
Source Language
States the selected source language for the source document.
Source State
Identifies the current state of the source document.
Translation Name
States the name of the translated document.
Target Language
States the selected target language for the translation package.
Translation Version
States the version of the translation included in the package.
Translation Status
States the current status of the translation package.
Translation State
Identifies the current state of the translation package.
Package ID
States the name of the created package.
Collection ID
States the name of the pending translation collection.
To export results to a file, select Export List to File from the Actions menu. Select the file output type from the list of available options. A dialog box confirming your selection opens. Select Open or Save and click OK.
Configure the following properties in the wt.properties file to improve performance and allow flexibility in viewing of translation for large publication structures.
com.ptc.tml.translationTable.numberOfThreads — Specify the number of threads to be spawned. The default value is the number of CPU cores. The maximum value is 10.
com.ptc.tml.translationTable.batchSize— Specify the batch size or the chunk of data to be given to each thread. The default value is 512.
