Managing Supplementary Parts
You can configure a Supplementary relationship between parts list items and other parts, to link a group of objects that are required to complete a service or maintenance task.
The option to group supplementary parts is available in the Related Parts tab in the Structure tab of the Parts List Editor. Select a parts list item in the structure and navigate to the Supplementary Parts table in the tab.
See
The Related Parts Tab for information.

You can edit the value of custom attributes for a supplementary part in the
Supplementary Parts table. Customize the view of the table to expose the required attributes. See

Managing Applicability for Supplementary Parts
You can configure Service Effectivity and Assemble to Order (ATO) settings for parts linked to a parts list item with a Supplementary relationship. Refer to
Managing Applicability and
Assigning Choices to Part Usages for information on how to work with applicability for these parts.
| When assigning a supplementary part to a part, applicability settings are only permitted for a usage of the target part, i.e. within a specific context. Access the Manage Applicability window from the context menu for the supplementary part in the Supplementary Parts table to ensure you configure valid settings. You are not permitted to use the Assigned Item Expressions option or a Service Effectivity assignment of All. |
If you have configured option choices for a supplementary part, you can view the expressions in the Assigned Usage Expressions column in the Supplementary Parts table. Customize the view of the table to expose the column.
Any filters for a parts list that are set to match Service Effectivity or ATO settings include parts linked with a Supplementary relationship. Refer to
Filtering on Service Effectivity and
Filtering on Options for information on configuring filters for a parts list.
