Rules for Saving to Workspace
Consider these rules for saving the part family using the Save and Save to Workspace actions:
• When you save the part family to a workspace, Windchill Workgroup Manager saves a file for the generic and each instance.
• The part family template is embedded in the generic file. Therefore, Windchill Workgroup Manager does not save the template in a separate file upon the save of the generic. If you want to save the template to the workspace, you must manually attach the template to the generic CAD document by editing the attachment in the Windchill Workgroup Manager browser.
• By default, Save to Workspace uploads objects after saving.
