Conflict Detection
You can detect the object-level and definition-level conflicts while performing the following operations:
• Verifying the package against target PLM system
• Executing the import operation
Creo Packages resolves conflicts according to the resolutions in the wpc_preferences.txt file or a CSV file. These files contain the conflict resolution statements along with the resolution values. You must select a suitable resolution value for the conflict that you have encountered while importing.
Creo Packages generates a conflict report in the form of a TXT file which lists the overridable and non-overridable conflicts. Creo Packages creates a separate TXT file for each conflict. This file is generated in the output folder or your current working folder. The file is named <Processtype>_Conflicts_<user name>_<time stamp as yyyyMMdd_HHmmss>.txt, where processtype is either export or import.
The following section describes the resolutions for overridable conflicts and the action that you can take to resolve non-overridable conflicts.
