Working with Design Contexts
A design context is a CAD assembly structure subset that is derived by application of filters and rules. In Windchill, a design context is derived from a configuration context, which in turn has been derived from a Windchill product structure. Typically, the intent of creating a design context is to bring only the essential elements of a (possibly large or complicated) master assembly into the workspace to simplify or ease the process of modifying just a specific section or area of the master assembly.
