Working with Software Documents
Software documents are intended to contain information that describes a software part or software build. For example, you may use a software document to contain a specification or a link to source code. The software document can then be associated with the software build allowing you to keep the software binary and its supporting information together.
Software documents can contain:
• A copy of source code files from a local file, external file storage, or from a software configuration management system in Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software.
• A reference to the source code from a local file, external file storage, or from a software configuration management system in Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software.
Software documents can also be a:
• Single file (java, C, lib, and so on) that can come from a local file, external file storage, or from a software configuration management system in Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software.
• Single zip file that can come from a local file, external file storage, or from a software configuration management system in Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software.
