New Configuration Specification Window
Add Config Spec opens the
New Configuration Specification window.
The New Configuration Specification window allows for the association of one or more contexts to the IBM Rational ClearCase adapter.
1. Enter the following information in the New Configuration Specification window:
Action | Description |
Name | Enter a unique name for the configuration specification. The configuration specification name can have alphanumeric, dot, dash, and underscore characters only. | When creating multiple adapter config specs, do not use identical config spec names. This results in not being able to differentiate between multiple config specs in the system. |
|
Description | Enter a description for the config spec. |
Label | Add IBM Rational ClearCase adapter version labels by typing the name of the label in the Label text box and clicking Add. Repeat for each label you want to assign to this configuration specification. | The Labels table is essentially an ordered list of labels. You enter which labels you want to use for the adapter config spec. The system does not currently check with IBM Rational ClearCase to ensure that the entered label names are valid. Therefore you must verify that the entered label names are correct. An incorrectly entered label name possibly returns no results when browsing IBM Rational ClearCase from Windchill |

2. To change the order of the labels in the list, select the label to reposition. Click the action in the Labels table.

3. To add a version label, type the name of the label in the text box and click Add. You can add additional version labels by repeating this step until completed.
4. To delete a singular label in the list, click

5. To delete multiple labels in the list, select the labels to remove. Click

6. To change the description of a label, type over the existing description
7. When finished, select OK. The system creates the configuration specification for the adapter with its specified labels. The Adapter Associations window opens.
