Life Cycle Command Line Utilities
PTC provides command line utilities that administrators can use to perform bulk operations on life cycle objects.
This utility can be run in two modes:
◦ Report mode
Reports the number of objects of the specified object type using the advanced iteration of the template, the basic iteration of the template, and the total number of objects using the template (both basic and advanced). Both a target and a source template are selected and reported on.
◦ Reassign mode
Reassigns the objects of the specified type from the source life cycle template to the latest iteration of target life cycle template. The source and target templates can be either basic or advanced.
This utility can be run in two modes:
◦ Report mode
Reports the number of objects of the specified object type.
◦ Remove mode
Removes the life cycle history of the objects of the specified type.
