Installation
This section contains instructions on how to install IBM Rational ClearCase software for the purpose of integrating the software with Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software.
To Install IBM Rational ClearCase on a local client machine
To install IBM Rational ClearCase software on a local client machine, ensure that it is installed on the same host machine as Windchill, including Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software.

Use the following IBM Rational ClearCase local installation procedure as a guideline. See the installation instructions for your IBM Rational ClearCase Windows or UNIX software for detailed instructions.

1. Locate and obtain your IBM Rational ClearCase software for download and installation.
2. Install the downloaded zip into a local folder. For example,
C:\Program Files (x86)\clearcase
3. After the installation of IBM Rational ClearCase software is completed, the next step is to configure IBM Rational ClearCase with Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software.

To install IBM Rational ClearCase software on a remote client machine, ensure that it is installed on a different machine from where Windchill, including Windchill Integrations for Embedded Software is installed.
