Installation Overview
This section provides an overview of the server and client Creo Packages installations. Both installations are required.
Server Component Installation
Install the Creo Packages server component on the Windchill server. It enables you to share Creo Parametric designs and libraries with your design partners and suppliers who use Creo Parametric along with Windchill PDMLink, Windchill PDMLink with Windchill ProjectLink.
When installing the Creo Packages server software, remember the following:
• The Creo Packages server is only installed on a Windchill server.
• The Creo Packages server can be installed with the Creo Packages client.
Client Component Installation
The Creo Packages client component works with the Creo Packages server component to enable you to share Creo Parametric designs and libraries across Windchill PDMLink, Windchill PDMLink with Windchill ProjectLink servers.
When installing the Creo Packages client software, remember the following:
• The Creo Packages client requires connectivity to a Windchill server.
• The Creo Packages client must be installed on the same client machine as the Creo software.
