Reloading UDI Types
When updating the
Unique Device Identification (UDI) module to 10.2 M020 and above, follow these steps to reload UDI types. This allows your UDI system to be compatible with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements for Structured Product Labeling (SPL) submissions through the
Electronic Submissions Gateway.
In a Windchill shell, load the following files using the commands below:
• windchill wt.load.LoadFromFile -d <Windchill>\loadFiles\type\FDAUDISubmission.xml
• windchill wt.load.LoadFromFile -d <Windchill>\loadFiles\type\UDISecondaryDeviceIdentifier.xml
• windchill wt.load.LoadFromFile -d <Windchill>\loadFiles\type\UDISizeDeviceCharacteristic.xml
• windchill wt.load.LoadFromFile -d <Windchill>\loadFiles\type\UDIStorageDeviceCharacteristic.xml
The files contain the following fixes:
• FDAUDISubmission.xml fixes the code values for the Issuing Agency field.

Loading this file reloads the layouts. Any customizations are lost.

• UDISecondaryDeviceIdentifier.xml fixes the code values for the Issuing Agency field.
• UDISizeDeviceCharacteristic.xml fixes the code values for Size Type and Unit of Measure fields.
• UDIStorageDeviceCharacteristic.xml fixes the code values for the Storage Type and Unit of Measure fields.
