Setting Change Intent
This section provides information on how to set the change intent for an affected object types from the Affected Objects table.
To set the change intent for affected object types, define the Object Change Intent mapping rule. For more information on how to define the mapping rule, see Define Mapping Rule for Change Management.
A set of common change intent values is available for the affected object types. For more information on change intent list for primary affected object types, see the List of Change Intent Values for All Primary Affected Object Types section in About Change Intent.
You can set the change intent value from the Actions menu using the Set Change Intent action or from the list for the various affected object types in the Affected Objects table.
1. On the Affected Objects table, select multiple affected object types for which you want to a set common change intent.

If there are multiple objects of same or different types in the Affected Objects table, select objects based on the following specification:
That are of common type
That have a common change intent
2. From the Actions menu, select Set Change Intent.
3. The Set Change Intent window opens. From the Change Intent lists, select the change intent value. The selected change intent value is applied to all the affected object types.
4. Click OK.
After setting the change intent for an affected object type, you can view it on the Change Summary page of Change Notice.
You can add the Change Intent column in the Associated Changes table.
