Windchill Enterprise Systems Integration
Windchill Enterprise Systems Integration (Windchill ESI) integrates Product Lifecycle Management services offered by Windchill PDMLink and Windchill MPMLink with the services offered by distribution targets such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Secure Deployment Recommendations for TIBCO Middleware
PTC strongly recommends the use of defense-in-depth in the deployment of the TIBCO application. These recommendations are applicable to all the Windchill releases where TIBCO integration is used:
Make the application available only within the internal corporate network and never expose it to the internet.
Avoid exposing the EMS Administrator console to the internet.
Host TIBCO on a separate server within the corporate network and not on the same server that hosts the Windchill application.
If TIBCO is deployed on same server as the Windchill, block the ports that are not required. Make sure not to expose these ports to the internal corporate network or internet.
