To define drawings using the layer method, the server-side preference Define Drawing must be set to the value "layer". When the Define Drawing preference is set to "layer", then the preference Drawing Layer ID specifies the Layer ID of a NX CAD part used to store drawing geometry. When the value is set to an integer (of range 0 to 256) that matches a Layer ID in the NX CAD part, then the CAD part is saved as a CAD document of type, Drawing in Windchill. The default is <no value>, meaning the NX part creates a CAD part, not a drawing, in Windchill.
