You can customize preferences for your CAD application by editing the Windchill Workgroup Managerwgmclient.ini file to meet your specific requirements. The preferences set in the wgmclient.ini file override the same-named preferences (if applicable) set on the server in the Preference Management utility, provided the preference set in the Preference Management utility is unlocked.

The default wgmclient.ini file is located in the Windchill Workgroup Manager home directory, and contains the list of preferences for your CAD application, along with other Windchill Workgroup Manager integrations.

The default wgmclient.ini file has several general preferences at the beginning of the file that apply to most Windchill Workgroup Manager integrations. There also are categorized sections for each integration. Refer to the [your CAD tool name] section of the wgmclient.ini file for preferences that pertain to your CAD application, as shown in the following figure.
