Customizing Publishing
For publishing an information structure, a publication structure, or parts list, there are several configuration tasks you must have fulfilled. These tasks are ordinarily performed by your Windchill administrator.
Windchill PDMLink must be installed and configured.
Windchill Service Information Manager must be installed and configured. Optionally, Windchill Service Parts can be installed and configured.
A publication structure and an information structure folder are added as part of the installation. These structures must be defined before publishing. Optionally, a parts list can also be defined and published.
Windchill Visualization Services must be set up for publishing.
a SIS Worker must be configured and enabled.
a WVS publishing rules file must be set up.
Arbortext Publishing Engine must be set up on a supported Windows server to manage publishing requests from WVS.
