Adding Translated Text Attributes to Attribute Layouts
For end users to see translated text attributes, for example on information pages or object edit windows, they must be added to the appropriate attribute layouts.
*
Unlike all other attributes, translated text attributes are not automatically added to the default group in existing attribute layouts.
You must decide whether the translated text attribute and the source text attribute should both be present in a layout, or whether only the translated text attribute should be present. By default, the Translation Name translated text attributes associated with the Name attribute for the Parts List, Parts List Master, Part, and Part Master types are included in the appropriate service structure attribute layouts.
*
By default, the Translation Name translated text attribute is included in the attribute layout for the Attributes tab on a service structure information page. To display the master text (the value of the source text attribute) as well, add the Name source text attribute to the layout.
For more information, see Editing Attribute Layouts.
