Selecting the Installation Type
The PTC Solution Installer (PSI) allows you to install products using the following installation types:
• New Installation
A new installation allows you to install on one or more machines and gives you the option to change the default configuration options.
• Update Existing Installation
Updating an existing installation allows you to install a service pack, add products to your already-installed solution, or add a language. For example, if you have an existing Windchill PDMLink system, use Update Existing Installation to add Windchill ProjectLink or Windchill Business Reporting to your solution.

When you add a product to an existing installation, you will be given the configuration options for a solution installation type.

Select Update Existing Installation and click Next.
