Creating a Representation from a Dynamic Document
Use the following procedure to create a representation for a dynamic document.
To navigate to the New Representation window, from the Content tab of a Dynamic Document, locate the Representations/Annotations section, and click the New Representation icon.
The New Representation window divides the creation of a representation into the following steps:
1. Define Representation Attributes
2. Set EPM Configuration Specification
3. Choose Structure Type
4. Confirm Choices
1. Define Representation Attributes
Enter the details using the following fields and check box:

Description
Name
Enter a name for the representation.
Enter up to 60 characters. If no name is entered, a default value is used.
Description
Enter a brief description of the representation.
Enter up to 4,000 characters. This field is optional.
Set as Default Representation
Enable the Set as Default Representation check box to make this representation the default.
2. Set EPM Configuration Specification
Set the specifications using the following names or attributes:

Choose a configuration specification by clicking one of the following names of the configuration specification type. Each type is explained below.

Default
Selects the default configuration specification for the dynamic document.
This default is either the latest or as stored, depending on system settings.
As Stored
Selects the as stored configuration specification for the dynamic documents.
If there is no as stored configuration specification, then the latest configuration is used.
Latest
Selects the latest configuration specification.
Baseline
Displays a drop-down list of the available baselines.
Life Cycle
Displays a drop-down list of states.
Foldered
Displays the path to the cabinet and folder.
Effectivity
Displays a drop-down list of the available effectivity configuration items or a type-in field to specify the effectivity date.

Clicking a configuration specification type may display a drop-down list or type-in field where you further define the specification.
3. Choose Structure Type
Select the one of the following structure types:

EPM only
Creates the representation from only the dynamic document structure, as defined by the root dynamic document.
The EPMDocConfigSpec controls the structure traversal and dependent file selection.
The following option may also be available, depending upon your configuration:

The options that appear are configured by the administrator. Leaving the selection blank creates a representation for every option.
4. Confirm Choices
Review the information you entered.
If you are unsatisfied with anything you entered, click Back to edit the information. If you are satisfied with the information, click Submit Publish Job.
You can monitor the progress of your publish job using the WVS Job Monitor.
