Filter Action Set - Parts
Part structures are filtered to show product configurations that are relevant to product history or useful to a specific product development task. For background information about the purpose and use of part structure filters, see About Part Structure Filters.
The following actions are provided in the Filter action set in the Structure tab toolbar on a part information page:

Edit Filter
Click this icon to define a new part structure filter. For more information, see Editing a Structure Filter.
Current Filter
Hover your mouse over the Current Filter icon to see a summary of the structure filters currently applied to the part structure. Click this icon to display the Current Filter window with a full description of applied filters. For more information, see Viewing a Structure’s Current Filter Properties.
Saved Filters
Click this icon to view the menu for saved filters or variant specifications. You can also search for a saved filter (by name) or a variant specification (by name or number) matching the information in the text box. This menu displays saved filters, actions for the saved filters, up to three recently used variant specifications, and actions for variant specifications.
The following actions are available in the drop-down menu:
Save Filter: Saves the current filter. For more information, see Saving and Reusing Structure Filters.
Manage Filters: Select the saved structure filters that are seen in the drop-down menu and shared with others. For more information, see Managing Saved Structure Filters.
New Variant Specification: Opens the New Variant Specification window, where you can create a new standalone variant specification, associated with an option set, based on the current filter. For more information, see Creating a Variant Specification for an Option Set.
Find Variant Specification: Allows you to search for the previously saved variant specifications.
Path Filter
Path Filter allows you to filter a structure, so that only a select set of structure paths is displayed and the paths that are not included in the filter are excluded from the structure. The following actions are available in this drop-down menu:
Apply Path Filter: Applies a new path filter using paths to the parts selected in the part structure tree. Any currently applied path filter is removed when the new path filter is applied.
Find and Apply Path Filter: Applies a new path filter using the paths to the parts that match the results of a search using any of the following search capabilities:
The Apply Find in Structure Path Filter action allows you to use a simple search, similar to Find in Structure, to search for the parts for paths to be included in a new path filter.
Up to five most recently used Find in Structure searches provide quick access to search for the parts for the paths to be included in a new path filter.
The Apply Advanced Find Path Filter action allows you to use a complex search, similar to Advanced search action, to search for the parts for the paths to be included in a new path filter.
The list of saved Advanced Find Criteria provides quick access to search for the parts for the paths to be included in a new path filter.
Each of these searching capabilities removes any currently applied path filter when searching for the new path filter to be applied. For more information about the Find in Structure and Advanced search actions, see Find in Structure.
Add to Applied Path Filter: Adds the selected path to the path filter that is currently applied to the structure. The selected nodes are added to the path filter and the structure is updated. This action is available only when a path filter is currently applied.
Edit Path Filter: Opens the Edit Path Filter window providing the ability to modify the currently applied path filter with the following actions:
Enable: Enables the selected path in the path filter, so that it is actively used to filter the structure.
Disable: Disables the selected path in the path filter, so that it remains in the path filter but is not actively used to filter the structure.
Remove: Removes the selected paths from the path filter.
Reset: Resets the path filter to its initial state when the Edit Path Filter window was initially opened.
Disable Path Filter: Disables all paths in the currently applied path filter, so that none of the paths are actively used to filter the part structure.
