Starting with 12.0.1.0 release, Windchill Directory Server is not bundled with the new Windchill deployment. If you are upgrading or updating to Windchill 12.0.2.0 release, all OOTB Windchill groups and administrators are stored in the Windchill database. Manually created groups can be stored in database or V3 compliant directory server of your choice. In this case, you have the option to move the groups from the earlier supported Windchill Directory Server to the Windchill database. Participation Administration Utility provides the action Move Groups from Directory Server to Windchill to move the selected groups to Windchill database.
