For information on deleting, suspending, or canceling a project that includes shared objects, see Deleting Projects or Shared Objects.
Object Status
The status of shared objects indicates any limitations to the actions available for the object.
The Status column in the Project Status table displays the status of shared objects.
Status
Description
Shared To
The object has been shared to the project, providing project members with read-only access.
The following status indicators might appear:
Sync exception—The object is not included in the sharing filter.
Out of sync share—The source object in PDM has been updated or changed. Use the Update action to synchronize the shared object.
PDM Checked out
The object has been checked out from PDM to create a project-specific version that can be modified from within the project environment.
Sent to PDM
The object was originally checked out from PDM, and now the source object has been updated to include modifications made from within the project environment.
You cannot edit an object sent to PDM. However, you can create a new PDM checkout of the latest version.
Deprecated
Another project has modified the object and sent it back to PDM. A deprecated object can still be modified or converted to a shared object, but cannot be sent back to PDM.
Abandoned
A deprecated object has been converted to a shared object.
You cannot edit an abandoned object or send the object back to PDM. However, you can create a new PDM checkout of the latest version.
For more information on PDM checkout states, see Managing PDM Checkout Objects.
