Product Actions
The following options are available from the right-click actions menu available on the Products Table and the Actions menu on the Product Information Page.

Action
Description
View Information
Navigates to the Folders page for the product.
Open in Creo
Enables you to visualize the part.
Edit
Opens the Edit Product window, allowing you to change the name and number of the top end item part and whether it uses private access rules.
New Document
Creates a single document in the product. The document may or may not contain primary content from local files, URLs, or externally stored content.
New Multiple Documents
Creates several documents at once, rather than creating one document at a time. The documents must contain primary content from local files and must all be created in the current product.
New Document from Template
Creates a document, in the context of the corresponding product, using a template that provides a standard format. If no templates have been defined, this option does not appear.
New Part
Creates a part in the context of the corresponding product.
New Multiple Parts
Creates several parts at once, rather than creating one at a time. The parts must all be created in the current product.
New Note
Creates a new note in the product.
New Note from Template
Selects a note template that provides standard format for notes.
New Change Request
Creates a change request to solve a product problem, which may be documented as a problem report.
New Problem Report
Creates a problem report to document a problem or request an enhancement for an object in the product.
New Variance
Creates a variance, which is an authorization to depart from the as-designed configuration for a specific number of units and or for a specified time period.
New Baseline
Creates a new baseline in the folder.
New Package
Creates a package, which allows you to collect or reference objects so that they can be transmitted as a set to a customer or subcontractor.
Create Plan
Adds project planning capabilities to a product. The product context is updated to include the Plan and Resources pages in the Navigator. For more information, see Adding a Plan to a Product.
Import from Spreadsheet
Available only if Windchill Supplier Management is installed. Imports a spreadsheet that creates new entries or modifies existing entries in the AML/AVL. When you import AML/AVL entries, you cannot create new parts; you can only add or change relationships between existing OEM parts and supplier parts.
Import Plant Information from Spreadsheet
Imports a spreadsheet that creates new or updates existing view-specific enterprise data and plant-specific functional data objects. For more information, see Importing Plant Information from Excel.

Available only if Windchill MPMLink is installed and the user is a member of the PTC MPMLink Module License, PTC Manufacturing License, or PTC BOM Transformation License profile.
Export as Template
Allows you to export the currently product as a template, creating a ZIP file on your system. This action is available for the product manager and administrators only.
Save as Template
Provides a way to create a new template from the current product. The new template is saved in the parent organization context. This action is available for administrators only.
Delete Objects
Removes the objects from the product.
Subscribe
Creates a new subscription. Subscribers are notified by e-mail when certain events or actions occur on that object. For example, you can be notified when a document is checked in or when an object is created in a particular folder.
Add to Favorites
Marks the product as a favorite. When you select Favorites from the View drop-down list on the Products table, only those products that you have added to your favorites display.
Remove from Favorites
Clears the product from your favorites. When you select Favorites from the View drop-down list on the Products table, only those products that you have added to your favorites display.
