Editing a Baseline
To edit an existing baseline:
1. Navigate to the baseline information page and select Actions > Edit or select Edit from the right-click actions menu of a baseline in the Folder Contents table.
2. Edit the following information:

Description
Enter a new description of the baseline.
Protected
Select one of the following options:
Yes
Objects that have been added to this baseline cannot be deleted from the system without first deleting the baseline.
No
Objects added to the baseline can be deleted at any time. A warning message appears when a user attempts to delete an object that has been added to an unprotected baseline.
Lock
Select one of the following options:
Yes
Only the baseline creator or an administrator can make changes to the baseline.
No
Any user with edit permissions can make changes to the baseline.
3. Click OK.

Typically, there should be no reason to edit a baseline. The purpose of the baseline is to provide static information related to a specific point in time. Ensure that you are not compromising the integrity of the baseline by adding and removing objects. If you want a collection of objects similar to a baseline that is more open for modification, consider using a managed collection. For more information, see Managed Collections.
