As the name suggests, an Extended Positioning Assembly is an extension of the Positioning Assembly concept, supported by Creo Parametric only, where WVS publishes a Positioning Assembly Representation that represents a specific Simplified Representation as Full Geometry and the remainder of the structure as Positioning Assembly references (branch-links to the sub-assemblies and parts). This can also be used, when explicitly setting the Default or Master Rep as the Simplified Representation to use, where sub-assemblies that have assembly level features in the assembly are published as Full Geometry and the remainder as Positioning Assembly references.
