Creating a Service Structure
You can create a new, empty information structure or publication structure:
From the Actions menu or the toolbar of a Service Structure table, choose New Information Structure or New Publication Structure.
From the Actions menu for a product or library, choose New > New Information Structure or New > New Publication Structure.
From the shortcut menu on a product in the Products table or a library in the Libraries table, choose New > New Information Structure or New > New Publication Structure.
You can create a new service structure from an existing service structure:
You can save an existing service structure with its content as a new structure. You can choose which dependent objects to include in the new structure. See Saving Commonspace Objects as New Objects for more information.
You can create an information structure and a publication structure from a template. Templates are found in the Templates folder of the product or library. See Service Structure Templates for more information.
You can save just the organizational structure of a service structure, without its content, as a new master structure. You can then reuse a basic structure to create new, similar service structures. See Saving a Service Structure as a Master Structure.
You can also generate a publication structure from an information structure. When you generate a publication structure, the components of the information structure are transformed to the components of the publication structure. You can filter the view of the information structure and then generate a publication structure from the visible elements. Information groups are transformed into publication sections, and their valid and supported contents are included. For more information, see Generating a Publication Structure.
