PDM Actions
PDM (Product Data Management) actions are used to manage your PTC Mathcad data in Windchill. These actions are available from both PTC Mathcad and the Windchill user interface.
When PTC Mathcad is connected to Windchill Workgroup Manager, some PDM actions become active in PTC Mathcad, such as Check In and Check Out.

Windchill Workgroup Manager changes the behavior of some of the native commands in PTC Mathcad, such as Save or Open. For example, when PTC Mathcad is connected to Windchill Workgroup Manager, the Open and Save operations default to the workspace local directory.

The following is a list of the PDM actions in PTC Mathcad and Windchill, and the areas from which they are available:
• Available from PTC Mathcad
◦ Open -- When connected to Windchill Workgroup Manager, the default behavior changes.
◦ Save and Save as - When connected to Windchill Workgroup Manager, the default behavior changes.
◦ Workgroup Manager - Available from the Tools menu in PTC Mathcad; when PTC Mathcad is registered with Windchill Workgroup Manager, this function opens the Windchill Workgroup Manager automatically.
◦ Enable PTC Places
◦ Disable PTC Places
