Cross-PLM System Support

Creo Packages provides a cross-platform architecture enabling collaboration between Windchill customers using Creo Parametric and their design partners and suppliers who use Creo Parametric along with Windchill PDMLink, or Windchill PDMLink with Windchill ProjectLink.

In Creo Packages, PLM system types are defined as follows:

• Source PLM system—The system from which a Creo Packages package is sent

• Target PLM system—The system that is the recipient of a Creo Packages package

• Owner PLM system—The system which originally created the objects within a package

By default, if an object has been moved in the source PLM system, it is not automatically moved in the target PLM system. However, if you would like the object to be automatically moved in this case, you can set the import.move.caddocuments preference to true. For more information, see Setting Import Preferences.
