You can implement the virus scan programming interface that is integrated in Windchill to upload virus-free content files. This implementation along with the externally configured antivirus software scans for virus in the content files. After you implement and configure the Windchill virus scanner, the content services help to securely upload the content files to Windchill. Also, content files can be safely copied from one vault to another. Windchill virus scanner rejects the content files if virus is found during the scanning process. If no virus is found, then the content files are successfully uploaded to Windchill.

Out-of-the-box, the content virus scanning implementation or antivirus software is not shipped with the product.
