Managing Thumbnails on Mini Information Pages
*
This topic covers actions specific to thumbnails and mini-thumbnails on the mini information page. See Mini Information Pages for complete details about the actions available in this window.
The mini information page is available where mini-thumbnails are displayed, such as in the Folder Contents and Search Results tables. For more information on mini-thumbnails, as well as the thumbnail available in this window, see Thumbnail Overview and About Mini-Thumbnails.
Note the following behaviors regarding the mini information page:
Hovering over a mini-thumbnail opens the mini information page.
Once the page is open, the thumbnail in the window updates when you hover over other mini-thumbnails.
*
This behavior is available when the thumbnail is unlocked. For more information, see the icon table below.
Once the window is open, if you explicitly move it (for example to the left or right of its position), the window remains in that position until it is closed.
If you have not moved or interacted with the contents of the window, clicking outside of the thumbnail window closes the window. If you have moved or interacted with the window, then click the “X” in the upper-right corner of the window to close it.
If an object does not have a corresponding mini-thumbnail, the mini information page is still accessible. Hover over the placeholder image to open the window.
The actions and information available from the mini information page are described below.
Icons
The following table describes the icons that appear above the thumbnail:
Icon
Description
Displays the thumbnail previously viewed in the window.
Displays the first thumbnail viewed in the window.
Displays the next thumbnail to be viewed in the window.
Displays the last thumbnail to be viewed in the window.
Refreshes the contents of the window.
Indicates that the thumbnail is currently unlocked, meaning the thumbnail in the window changes if you hover over another mini-thumbnail outside the mini information page.
Click this icon to lock the thumbnail.
Indicates that the thumbnail is locked, meaning the thumbnail in the window does not change if you hover over another mini-thumbnail outside the mini information page.
Click this icon to unlock the thumbnail.
The following table describes the icons that appear below the thumbnail:
Icon
Description
Copies the object to the clipboard.
Displays information page for the object.
Opens the object or interference in Creo View.
Allows you to toggle between a part and the corresponding CAD document. If the thumbnail is displaying a part, clicking the icon displays the CAD document. If the thumbnail is displaying a CAD document, clicking the icon displays the part.
Attributes
Hover over the Thumbnail Navigation image of an object to view its attributes.
Object Attribute
Description
Number
Identifies the number of the object.
Name
Identifies the name of the object.
Version
Identifies the revision and iteration of the object (for example, A.1), and an (optional) identifier of the iteration (such as “Manufacturing”).
State
Identifies the current life cycle state of the object.
Context
Identifies the specific context (for example, a particular product, library, or project) with which the object is associated.
Hover over the Interference Thumbnail Navigation icon to view the interference attributes.
Interference Attribute
Description
ID
Identifies the number of the object.
Name
A unique number that identifies an interference.
Description
A brief description of the IDD.
Type
Type of interference detected.
Status
Indicates if an interference has changed from the last time it was found.
Volume
Volume of interference detected in cubic units.
Distance
Minimum required clearance distance between two parts.
Report
Name of interference detection report
Severity
An integer number from 1 to N that indicates the relative severity of the interferences, where 1 indicates the interference with the biggest volume. As the volume of the interferences decrease, the values of the integers increase. If, for instance the Interference with the smallest volume has a value of K, all cases of Contact has a value of K+1, the Clearance with the smallest volume has a value of K+2, the next K+3, and so on.
If the interferences are not calculated, N/A is displayed. This occurs if Approximate mode is set to not calculate interferences and in some cases of Accurate mode where volumes cannot be calculated.
Precision
Mode of interference calculation.
Accurate precision mode displays no symbol.
Approximate precision mode displays ~.
Assignee
The team member who is responsible for the activity.
State
Identifies the current life cycle state of the object.
User Severity
A user-defined interval scale that determines task priority within the team.
Created
Date of interference creation.

Click on Related Information or Navigate Thumbnails to open the drop-down list and select one of them.
Related Information—Displays names of documents, CAD or dynamic documents, and change management processes related to the interference. Click to view the related change process report.
Navigate Thumbnails—Displays objects related to the current object.
Where Used—Objects which use the current object.
Uses—Objects which are used by the current object.
Related—Objects which are related to the current object.
*
Hover over the icon or mini-thumbnail to view attribute information for the related object.
When viewing parts, if you hover over a part in the Uses section, the related part is highlighted in the thumbnail of the current part.
Click the icon or mini-thumbnail to display the related object as a thumbnail in the window.
