Single-Level View Version Conversion Command Line Utility
Previous Windchill releases used multiple levels of versioning schemes. Starting in Windchill 10.0, the default versioning scheme has only a single level.
If you upgraded your pre-Windchill 10.0 system, your system still uses the multi-level versioning scheme. At any point you can implement the new scheme using the SingleLevelViewVersionConversionUtility command line utility. Once converted, Windchill uses a single-level versioning scheme going forward.
The SingleLevelViewVersionConversionUtility is a command line utility that finds and converts objects with a multi-level versioning scheme within a context. As this conversion can be time-consuming, PTC recommends staging the process.
While the conversion is in process, some contexts will use the multi-level versioning scheme while others will use the single-level versioning scheme. As a result, moving objects between contexts is prohibited as this can impact the versioning scheme of those objects. Additionally, until all contexts are converted, any new contexts created will use the multi-level versioning scheme. Once all contexts are converted, the tool finalizes the conversion so that any new contexts use the new single-level versioning scheme.

Once you have run the SingleLevelViewVersionConversionUtility command line utility, you cannot reverse the changes.
