About UDI Templates
A UDI template provides a starting point for creating a UDI. UDI templates can be accessed and modified by administrators. UDI templates have following characteristics:
• UDI templates are created and managed from the templates page, which are accessible only by administrators.
• UDI templates are searched by name and number.
• UDI templates are of two types:
◦ FDA UDI Submission Template: Use it for making submissions to FDA.
◦ UDI Super Set Template: Use it for collecting data for regulatory agencies as per business requirement.
