Options and Choices: Enhancement to Option, Choice, and Choice Rules Administration

Provides administrators the ability to grant users the authorization for renaming an option, choice, or alias expression independent of whether users are granted the edit authorization, in addition to providing visibility to the choice rules when users are authorized to view the rule but not the options, choices, or alias expressions referenced within the rule.

In previous releases, users must be granted the edit authorization to rename an option, choice, or alias expression and the choice rules were hidden for users without the read authorization to an option, choice or alias expression referenced by the rule.

In this release, the Modify Identity permission has been introduced for options, choices, and alias expressions to provide separate control for the Rename action. Additionally, choice rules are now visible when the users have the read authorization to the rule. Users without the read authorization to the option, choice, or alias expression referenced by that choice rule will see the “Secured Information” text. This gives users the visibility into all the choice rules defined in the system, without exposing the information that they are not entitled to view.

There are no changes introduced in this release to the permissions granted to any user, group, or role for options, choices, or alias expressions related to the availability of the Modify Identity permission.
